服务端的转换引擎只能把工作簿的第一个工作表导出成 CSV：多工作表的文件只会得到一个 CSV，内容是第一张表。要转其它工作表，请先在 Excel / WPS 里切到目标表用「另存为 → CSV UTF-8」导出，或把目标表复制到一个只含一张表的新工作簿再上传。 CSV 是纯文本，工作表名不会出现在文件里，下载后请自行改名区分。

为什么这个工具要上传文件？

本站其它工具都在你的浏览器里本地处理、文件不出本机；但 Excel 转 CSV 需要服务端用表格引擎把工作簿解析成单元格文本，纯浏览器做不到同等兼容（尤其是旧版 .xls，以及带公式、格式、合并单元格的工作簿），因此它是本站少数需要上传的工具之一。上传的文件只用于这一次转换：不写入数据库、不留存在服务器（转换完成立即删除）、不上传到任何第三方、不会被任何人看到。如果你的表格敏感到「连我们自己都不能经手」，请在本地用 Excel / WPS 的「另存为 → CSV UTF-8」完成。

Excel 转 CSV 的常见用法与效果边界

最常用的是「把表格喂给其它程序」。CSV 是纯文本，能被数据库导入、脚本处理、BI 工具读取，也不受 Excel 版本限制；把 .xlsx 导成 CSV 通常是数据入库、对账、迁移的第一步。

CSV 只保留「值」。单元格格式、颜色、批注、图表、数据验证、公式都会消失——公式导出的是它的计算结果（数值）。需要保留版式的请用「Excel 转 PDF」，需要保留公式与格式的请继续用 .xlsx。

只导第一个工作表。多工作表请先在 Excel / WPS 里「另存为 → CSV UTF-8」导出目标表，或把目标表复制到一个只含一张表的新工作簿再上传。工作表名不会写进 CSV。

编码与打开方式。输出是 UTF-8，下载前本工具会自动补上 BOM（字节 EF BB BF），用 Excel / WPS 双击打开不乱码；用代码读取时建议显式指定 UTF-8（Python 可用 encoding='utf-8-sig'）。

FAQ

Why does this tool need an upload? How is it different from the rest of the site?

Every other tool here processes locally in your browser and files never leave your machine; but Excel-to-CSV needs the server's spreadsheet engine to parse the workbook - a pure browser cannot match that compatibility (especially with old .xls files and workbooks with formatting and formulas), so this is one of the site's few upload tools. Uploaded files serve only this conversion: not written to any database, not retained on the server (deleted the moment conversion finishes), never sent to any third party, seen by nobody. If a file is too sensitive to pass even through a conversion service, use Save As CSV locally in Excel / WPS.

Why did only the first worksheet export? What about multi-sheet workbooks?

Because the server's conversion engine, invoked from the command line, can only export the workbook's first worksheet to CSV - tested: a multi-sheet file yields exactly one CSV, containing the first sheet (adding an 'export all sheets' option would make conversion fail outright, so this tool does not promise one). Two workarounds: 1) in Excel / WPS switch to the target sheet and use Save As → CSV UTF-8 directly - the most reliable way, and you pick the sheet; 2) copy the target sheet into a new workbook (one sheet only) and upload that. After conversion, note the sheet name - a CSV is plain text, sheet names do not appear in the file.

Will opening the CSV show mojibake? What is the encoding?

Output is UTF-8, and the tool automatically prepends a UTF-8 BOM (bytes EF BB BF) before download, so double-clicking in Excel or WPS shows no mojibake. If Notepad or your code sees three invisible bytes at the file start, that is the BOM - normal; some strict readers (like Python's csv module) do better with encoding='utf-8-sig' specified explicitly.

Is there a size limit? What happens on failure?

20MB per file (above it the page warns before upload - the file is never sent up). On failure the page states the reason: file over the cap, too many requests (try again later), corrupt file or open password set (decrypt the workbook first), conversion timeout (split an oversized sheet and retry). Your original file is never modified - a failed conversion does not touch it.
