本站其它工具都在你的浏览器里本地处理、文件不出本机；但纯文本转 PDF 需要服务端排版引擎做分页、并把中文字体嵌进 PDF，同时还要识别老编码（GB18030，即老版 Windows 记事本存的「ANSI」中文），这些在浏览器里做不到同等效果，因此它是本站少数需要上传的工具之一。 上传的文件只用于这一次转换：不写入数据库、不留存在服务器（转换完成立即删除）、不上传到任何第三方、不会被任何人看到。 若文件敏感到「连转换服务都不能经手」，可在本地用记事本 / Word「另存为 PDF」完成。

TXT 转 PDF 的常见用法与效果边界
最常用的三种场景。一是把纯文本定稿成「不会被动排版」的 PDF 交给别人（合同条款、说明文档、简历纯文本版）；二是把日志、导出数据、聊天记录等长文本归档成便于翻阅与打印的 PDF；三是把老系统导出的 .txt / .rtf 资料转成统一格式存档。
中文与老编码。服务器会把 Noto CJK 中文字体嵌进 PDF，所以任何设备打开都不会出现方块、也不依赖对方是否装了中文字体。编码自动识别 UTF-8 与 GB18030：老版 Windows 记事本存的「ANSI」中文 txt 可以直接转换，不必先另存为 UTF-8。
排版边界（请先看这条再决定用不用）。.txt 是纯文本，本身不带字体、字号、缩进这些信息；转换时按段落排版、长文自动分页，但不会「还原」原文件里并不存在的版式。.rtf 是富文本，加粗、斜体、字号、颜色等基本格式会保留。若你需要严格套用固定版式（页眉页脚、双栏、指定字号），建议在 Word / WPS 里排好版后改用「Word 转 PDF」。

Every other tool on the site processes locally in your browser and files never leave your machine; but text-to-PDF needs the server-side layout engine to paginate, embed Chinese fonts into the PDF, and detect legacy encodings such as GB18030 - a browser cannot match all of that, so this tool is one of the upload exceptions. Uploaded files serve only this conversion: not written to any database, not retained on the server (deleted the moment conversion finishes), never sent to any third party, seen by nobody.
No. The server runs Noto CJK fonts and embeds them into the PDF, so no device shows tofu boxes and nothing shifts because your reader lacks a font. On encoding, the server auto-detects UTF-8 and GB18030: a Chinese txt saved as ANSI by old Windows Notepad converts fine - you do not need to re-save it as UTF-8 first. If a rare character has no glyph in the font it renders as missing - that is a font coverage issue, not an encoding issue.
A .txt is plain text and carries no layout: line breaks and blank lines become paragraph structure, but fonts, sizes and indentation do not exist inside a txt - the PDF typesets paragraphs in a uniform font. An .rtf is rich text: bold, italics, font size and basic color do carry over. Long text paginates automatically with the server's default margins and paper (A4, portrait). If you must apply your own exact layout, typeset in Word / WPS first and use the Word-to-PDF tool instead.
20MB per file; above it the page blocks the upload before sending any request. Conversion usually takes seconds, up to about ninety for long documents; a busy server returns 'too many requests' - wait a moment and retry. On failure the page states the reason (corrupt file, timeout and so on). Your original file is never modified - retrying is just clicking Start again.
