FAQ

What is the difference between second-level and millisecond-level timestamps?

A Unix timestamp counts from 1970-01-01 00:00:00 UTC: 10 digits are seconds (e.g. 1700000000), 13 digits are milliseconds (e.g. 1700000000000). The page recognises the length automatically, and a length that matches neither (9 digits, 11/12 digits and so on) is reported directly instead of guessed.

Which time zone is displayed?

The same instant is shown in three at once: your machine's local time zone, Beijing time (Asia/Shanghai), and UTC. Conversion goes through the browser's standard time-zone database (IANA time-zone names), and historical DST periods are handled by the rules automatically - use whichever you need.

When I enter a date and time, which time zone is it interpreted in?

Your machine's local time zone. For example, if your machine is in Beijing, entering 2026-09-19 12:00:00 means 12:00 noon Beijing time. To have it interpreted in another zone, first work out that zone's wall-clock time (our world-time page can do it), then enter the result.

Is my input uploaded?

No. Conversion and display happen entirely in the browser; no request is sent to any server. You can verify in the Network panel of developer tools - you will only see the page's own static resources.
