ODP to PPT

.odp to .pptx · slide text, images and layout kept · opens straight away in PowerPoint

不把 .odp 转 PDF(需要 PDF 请在 PowerPoint / WPS / LibreOffice 里导出,或先转 .pptx 再用本站在线工具处理);不收旧版 .ppt 输入——那是「旧 PPT 转 PPTX」的活;也不解密带密码的文件。

FAQ

Are my files uploaded? Why does this tool need an upload?

Yes, it uploads - but only for this one conversion. The internals of .odp and .pptx differ: masters, layouts, placeholders and shapes all have to be rewritten under PowerPoint's OOXML rules, which the browser cannot do with compatible fidelity, so these conversions go through the server-side document engine (the same channel as our Office-to-PDF and old-PPT-to-PPTX). Uploaded files are used only for the conversion: deleted the moment conversion finishes, not written to any database, not retained, not used for anything else, never sent to any third party. Every other tool on the site (images, local PDF processing, text, QR codes and so on) still runs entirely in your browser - those files never leave your machine.

Are the animations, slide transitions and embedded videos still there?

Not guaranteed. Text, images, tables, shapes and layouts survive, but animations and slide transitions belong to each suite's own model - complex, path-based animations and transition effects may be lost or distorted after conversion; embedded audio and video are not guaranteed to come along either. If this deck will be presented live and the animation is part of the content, save it as .pptx directly in the original software and check slide by slide, or turn the animated parts static.

The converted layout looks different from the original - what do I do?

The most common cause is font substitution: if the .odp uses fonts the server does not have, they are replaced with available Chinese fonts; character widths change and line spacing and wrap points shift with them, and some text boxes may overflow their frames. Switch back to fonts installed on your machine in PowerPoint / WPS, or resize the text boxes. The second cause is master differences (background, footer and page-number positions may shift slightly). This is exactly why we advise: open the result and check it first.

What is .odp? Why will PowerPoint not open it?

ODP is the presentation format of the OpenDocument standard - the default save format of LibreOffice / OpenOffice and an international standard in its own right. PowerPoint only understands its own .pptx / .ppt by default, so double-clicking an .odp usually reports an unsupported format. Converting to .pptx brings you back onto PowerPoint's home ground.

Is there a size limit? What happens on failure?

20MB per file (.odp takes the general cap, not the relaxed 50MB quota for PPT); above it the page blocks the upload before sending any request. Conversion usually takes seconds to tens of seconds; with many images or slides it can run to about ninety seconds. Common failures and their messages: unsupported format or direction (400), file over 20MB (413), conversion quota used up (429), corrupt or encrypted file (502), service temporarily unavailable (503), conversion timeout (504). A failed conversion never modifies your original file - retrying is just clicking Start again.
