FAQ
No. Rotating and flipping all run locally in your browser (canvas processing); the page makes no server requests, the image exists only in the page's memory, and reloading clears it.
Most phone photos store the orientation in EXIF metadata without touching the pixels. On load this page normalises by the EXIF orientation (what you see is what you get), and on export it paints the orientation into the pixels and drops the EXIF orientation - so any device and any viewer opens it the same way round.
Anything the browser can decode (JPG / PNG / WebP / the first frame of a GIF / BMP and so on). Exporting PNG is lossless, no re-encoding; exporting JPG / WebP re-encodes with the quality parameter - 90 or above is advised; JPG has no transparency, transparent areas turn white.
Browser memory sets the bound: under 50 megapixels and 30 MB per image is advised; exporting very large images may take a while, which is normal. For batches, stay at 50 images or fewer at a time.
