CSV ⇄ JSON conversion
CSV tables to and from JSON · fields with quotes, commas and newlines handled safely · downloaded CSV carries a BOM
FAQ
No. CSV and JSON are converted locally in your browser, with no server request at all; reloading clears it.
Standard RFC 4180 style: when a field is wrapped in double quotes, the commas and line breaks inside it are taken literally, and a quote of its own is written as two double quotes in a row; fields without quotes are split on the separator.
By default the first line is the header (the JSON keys). If your data has no header, untick “first line is the header” and keys become col_1, col_2 and so on.
The CSV you get from “Download” carries a UTF-8 BOM, so Excel recognises Chinese correctly; text you copy directly carries no BOM.
